Reposit Power 101

What Is Reposit?
Reposit Power is an Australian company founded in 2012. They developed specialised software that analyses electricity usage patterns, gathers weather forecasts, and monitors wholesale market opportunities. Think of it as an enhanced controller of a solar and storage system, ensuring that your solar panels, appliances, and battery work together seamlessly.
While many companies were innovating alongside the growing solar industry, Reposit set themselves apart with their flagship product: the Reposit Controller.
The Reposit Controller
Before Reposit, communication between home solar and battery systems was limited. The Reposit Controller filled this gap by acting as a smart hub between your inverter and battery, connected via the internet. Using information from weather forecasts, household energy use, and market data, the Reposit Controller automates your system to perform at its most efficient level.
For example, if severe weather is predicted and there’s a chance of a grid outage, the Controller will prioritise charging your battery so your home can keep running on backup power. Over time, it learns your household’s energy habits and adapts to maximise your savings and system performance. Reposit also allows you to trade excess energy back to the grid when demand (and prices) are highest. This earns you Grid Credits, which can then be used to reduce your electricity bills.
Reposit Installation Patterns
Because of its wide compatibility with different inverters and batteries, Reposit quickly became a popular add-on for home solar and storage systems. Although modern systems such as the Tesla Powerwall and Sigenstor now include built-in communication technology, thousands of Reposit systems are still in operation across Australia today.
Reposit Troubleshooting
If you change your home Wi-Fi network, your Reposit Controller may lose connection, preventing it from communicating with your energy system. To keep everything running smoothly, make sure your device has a stable, unobstructed internet connection (preferably via LAN cable). Follow the article below if you are having troubles with Reposit's Wi-Fi or LAN connection.
If a red light for the LED located on the Reposit Controller stays on for a long time, that means the Reposit Controller might be in fault mode. Try rebooting it. If the red light doesn't turn blue-ish white after rebooting, the Reposit controller could be faulty then. If you need to reboot your system, the LED will first be red and it lasts for 1-2 minutes normally. Then the red LED will go off. A blue-ish white light will be on in a few seconds after that. When the Reposit controller is operating, the LED will be blue-ish white.
